Belen Food Pantry by Liz Paquet
If you would like to donate to the Belen Food Pantry, there is a box in the card room for nonperishable foods and an envelope for monetary donations. If you would like to help out at the Pantry on Mon., Wed., or Fri., please call Mary Rau at 864-6932.

Cuddly Bears of Stuffed Animals - Becky Chrisman
Do you ever wonder what that box of stuff animals in the card room is?  When that box is full, the animals are taken to the Belen Police Department for their use in domestic disturbance calls.  If there is a child in the house, the police give them a teddy bear or stuffed animal.  Or when a child comes into the station, a stuffed animal is also given to them.

Since 2004, the Sunrise Bluffs community has been helping with their cause by purchasing either a teddy bear or stuffed animal and placing them in the box provided in the card room.  This is an ongoing project.

When the box is full, we'll take it down to the police station.  Remember, it must be a NEW stuffed toy.  DO NOT bring a stuffed toy that you want to discard.  Please help this worthy cause.  Thank you.

are looking up in Belen and now there is a recycle station in Belen. It is open the 1st and

recyclables. Please continue to recycle. Contact information Robert Rimorin 864-8221 or go to www.belen-nm.gov.  I have enjoyed doing this for the community and sincerely hope everyone continues to recycle

RV Owners - From the Block Captains and Alternates by Kate Grussendorf
SAFETY - For your safety and the safety of your neighbors please, pull your slide outs and steps in when they are not in use. This is especially dangerous after dark.

THE “SPIRIT” OF THE RULE – RVers are expected to park their RVs on the street no longer than 72 hours at a time. This is intended to give you ample time to pack and unpack before and after a trip as well as perform necessary maintenance on your rig. It's been reported that occasionally people park for 72 hours, move the rig for a day and park for another 72 hours. If you are unable to complete all your necessary tasks within the allotted 72 hours please contact your Block Captain BEFORE your time runs out!
